Hye-ri is often told that he is the most genuine person that anyone has ever met. He wouldn't dare deny such a statement, since the boy does make it a point to treat others with kindness and respect where it is deserved. He is the type to view a cup as being half full, making him quite the optimist. He believes that others have an innate good in them and will continue to until proven otherwise; which even then he would have a difficult time believing. Not one to hesitate when it comes to striking up a conversation, Hye-ri is often seen as a very friendly and social young man who takes delight in being surrounded by others rather than being by himself. He is a also very passionate person, constantly striving to put 100% of himself and more into every single thing he sets his mind to.
He takes great pride in what he does and when others take notice, he won't waste any time in taking credit for his achievements--and not exactly in a humble way, either. Due to this, it can be said that Hye-ri is a prideful individual, especially when it comes to his work. He can be exceptionally stubborn too, having a pretty bad habit of going over the top at times where his actions or words could be taken as being borderline aggressive. However, underneath it all, Hye-ri contains some serious insecurities that he desperately tries to keep buried underneath his excessive and boastful nature. Due to this he has a tendency to behave in a rather possessive manner towards those he forms emotional connections to, simply because he lacks the self-confidence to believe that they won't eventually drift away from him one day.

[ History ]

As soon as he first opened his eyes, Hye-ri was an active little ball of flesh. His father would often call him his little fire monkey seeing as how the boy would be dancing about wildly as if his pants were literally on fire when they would walk down the streets. He grew up in Seoul, specifically Seongdong-gu, where both of his parents were vendors in a rather large food alley located in one of the neighborhoods of the bustling district. They didn't exactly hurt for money, but they weren't swimming in it either so they would often lecture their son about how to go about spending and, most importantly, saving it.

Hye-ri spent most of his free time as a teenager on the streets, looking for any street musicians to bother and hang around. Most would berate him or chase him off, which in truth did leave him with some emotional scars at an early age, but his father would often say that they were simply jealous of his charmingly bright demeanor. Those words were a comfort for the boy and so as time passed he was hardly effected by such trivial things. For those who encouraged him to stay and listen to their music, he would dance fluidly to the smooth beats that filled the air. What could he say? The boy loved to move and felt most alive when allowing his body to be in motion. 
At that point he realized that dancing wasn't a mere past time for him but a passion that he wanted to work at. He brought that to the attention of his parents, hoping they'd understand. Which fortunately they did; his father wasn't at all shocked by the news but rather saw it coming as Hye-ri had always displayed an interest ( and talent ) for dancing since he was very young.

So, by the time he had graduated from secondary school he figured why not pursue that dream and make it big? He was in Seoul, the Capital of Glamour and Glory for aspiring kpop artists after all! His parents pushed him to try out for S.O.S, where he shortly began his training in camp.In that same year he gained a younger baby sister who he fondly calls his own little fire monkey.


[ Fun Facts ]

♛ If he's able he'll take time to visit his parents in Seongdong-gu; otherwise he'll just call them
♛ His parents were so adamant on having a daughter named Hye-ri but when they realized
they'd have a son they decided to use the same name anyways
♛ Absolutely adores his little sister and would spoil her rotten if he could
♛ He keeps her name a secret for some suspicious strange reason
♛ Likes to wear fun and odd patterns
♛ He loves converse shoes like a lot
♛ He also likes boots but feels he looks weird in them

♛ Aside from his love for dancing, Hye-ri loves to learn how to cook--too bad he's terrible at it
